The District Chief Executive of Berekum West, hon Isaac Kwasi Osei has reaffirmed his commitment towards the rapid development of the district.

Speaking to the media at the commissioning of a water project at Koraso, the optimist noted "As I have indicated already, infrastructural development and youth empowerment are my topmost priority. This is one of the Water Projects of which one is at Ayimom completed just like this. We all know water as a basic necessity and we are commited to making potable water to all residents"

He however called on the residents to ensure good maintenance culture to keep the facility in good shape for posterity.

"Some of these projects really cost government before construction, i will therefore entreat us all to be keepers of the facility. Most often we tend to care less about  public facilities but let us note that we are the direct beneficiaries of these facilities. I will entreat the attendant to ensure routine maintenance and use the proceeds judiciously"  he advised.

Mr. Osei again observed the District is seriously lagging behind in infrastructural development and in the socio-economic well-being of the people. He therefore called for a consensus-building among members in regards to issues concerning the developmental needs of the district. “I want honorable members of this assembly to join me to pledge our unflinching commitment and determination to speed up the development of this district” he said.
