WE NEED PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISM - B/A NPP

Mr Seth Asare Bediako, the communications director of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Brong Ahafo is calling on all media practitioners to ensure professionalism in their line of duty.

He was speaking to KkbPortal in relations to the party's decision to rescind its decision from participating in any activity organized by Angel 92.3 Fm here in Sunyani.

"As we are aware the media is the fourth realm of the estate, this makes their role in the governance system inevitable. Yet, it is required of them to employ all the necessary ethics to ensure professionalism. That was our major problem with Angel 92.3 in Sunyani, there were some sort of partiality and biases among their morning show crew. We now hope there will be fair and balance professional reportage henceforth" ABS said.

He however applauded the immense contribution of the Brong Ahafo branch of the Ghana Journalists Association for their role in the mediation process between the party and the media house.

"The trilateral mediation process which was initiated by the Ghana Journalists Association between us (NPP) and the Angel Broadcasting Network is very commendable. Kudos to Mr Larry Paa Kwesi Moses and Mr Dennis Peprah ( Prez and Sec of GJA respectively) for their prolific initiative. He applauded the GJA

He hinted he was not in the known of negotiation between their opponent National Democratic Congress and ABN who also boycotted all activities of Angel Broadcasting Network.

" their boycott was baseless and needless. Eric Adjei, their deputer communications director's bases for their boycott was for the fact that, my predecessor Marlick Adjei is the host of Angel TV morning show, hence there could be possible biases. That is misjudged inductive conclusion" he chided his opponents.
