BRA DEA TO CELEBRATE VAL'S DAY WITH SPECIAL CHILDREN AT NYAMAA SCHOOL

Bra Dea Foundation is set to put smiles on the faces of pupils and teachers at the Nyamaa Special School at Sunyani on this year’s Valentines Day.

The Executive Director of the NGO, Michael Marcus Paapa Edwards in an interaction with KkbPortal hinted that Valentine’s Day comes with love and expression of affection hence, his charity organization is set to share good times with the children who have often been neglected by the public over 10 years.

“As tomorrow marks a day of love we are set to spend time with the special kids at the school where many people have failed to show affection to. Although I have an intended huge project for them in july, this is to serve as an ice breaker and create awareness that these children suffering from autism deserve our love” Papa Sunyani noted.

He however called on the general public to acknowledge it with a sense of urgency to support children with disabilities in their community.

"Most of these children are innocent, hence we have to show them care. Most people shun them because of their conditions, but they are just unfortunate as they didn't choose to come in that form. Government should also provide systems that will help integrate them into the society as well as providing structures that are disability friends to enhance their movement and learning" Mr Edwards pleaded.

The Nyamaa Special school was established to cater for the needs of children who have forms of impairment and autism.
