Mr. Michael Asare Yeboah, Chief Executive Officer of McKenzie Ghana has appealed to leaders and residents of the Brong Ahafo region and the country at large to believe in the youth and invest in entrepreneurship.

He made this appeal at an end of year party organised by his outfit to celebrate the end of the year and some achievements made in the year by his company. McKenzie Clothing a part of conglomerate was awarded at the 2017 Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) awards as the best company in Garments, textiles and leather.

"We have to believe and invest in our youth in the region because they are equally gifted as those in the bigger cities. We also have to give contracts to the manufacturing companies in the region for they are capable of producing quality products which meet the international standards, no wonder we won an award at last year's AGI awards" Mr. Yeboah noted

He reiterated his commitment to employ the youth in the region and give them free training in the field of clothing and farming. Currently the the company has about fifty employees both at the clothing company and farms.

However, Mr Yeboah expressed worry about the government's failure to award them a contract in the sewing of house jerseys under the Free Senior High School.

"We really went through some financial difficulties last year due to a government's directive not award house jerseys contract to local companies, but we tried to sustain our workers to avoid redundancy. We will call on the government to reconsider that policy because we have been in this business for long and helped many of the schools in the region and across the country" Mr Yeboah who also doubles as an executive member of the Brong Ahafo chapter of the AGI  appealed.
