Reality shows across the  globe are the most fertile fields for nursing fortified talents in all walks of life, and it's not different from Discovery 967 on Sky Fm an urban radio station in Sunyani.

The only commercial contemporary radio station in the Brong Ahafo's capital ended it's second edition of its popular radio talent hunt show this weekend crowning Ibrahim Ali, a prospective eloquent sports show host the winner.

The maiden edition of the project which crowned Nana Serwaa Adjei, A. J. Mensah and  Codjoe Ebo Hummel as winner, second and third respectively was repeated this year in grand and thrilling style.

The second edition started in September with 9 participants but was reduced to 4 through live eviction radio shows. The finalist four were Ebenezer Osei Acheampong (Quan), Prince Amponsah (Prince), Charlene Ices Newman (Ices) //all of music presentation// and Ibrahim Ali the only sports presenter.

A scoring system controlled by listeners choice via voting and judges marks could not let go the dexterity with which Ali elaborated and spew sports facts to adjudge him the winner of the competition against all odds with Ices, Quan and Prince placing second, third and fourth in that sequence.

Ali in his acceptance address applauded the management and listeners of Sky Broadcasting Limited for the opportunity given him and promised to work to meet expectations of fans.

"I would like to express my profound gratitude to management of this reputable
Institution and the listeners for giving me this platform. I will congratulate my colleague contestants for their efforts and the challenge they gave to me, it really spurred me on. I promise to deliver more than what I put in during the competition to guarantee my relevance and success"

The ever refreshing Ike Frimpong who is the head of entertainment, music, events and promotions, programs head as well as the host of the reality show observed that this year's competition was very keener and every participant deemed it fit to work on most of the top class radio stations across the country. He urged them on to remain resolute in their quest to realise their dream in the arena of the media.

"You all deserve a creditable recognition for your bold decision to be part of the competition. You are full of talents that need critical attention to take the media landscape by storm. I look forward to hear your names on the big stations in the country" the man with preternatural fingers and lulling voice said.

The winner, Ali, won a one year juicy working contract to pair with Mr Precious Semevor on the station's sports shows, Ices has three months contract while Quan got one more contract apart from the certificate of participation and prizes comprising media souvenirs.
