KINTAMPO WATER FALLS DISASTER REPORT IS  OUT
 
Mr. Joseph Appiagyei, the Regional Director of Ghana Tourism Authority in the Brong Ahafo Region has confirmed that the report on the Kintampo Water Falls disaster that occurred earlier this year on Sunday, March 19 this year is out.

 In an interview with KkbPortal, he said the report has directed the Authority to carry out three measures to ensure safety at the Tourist site.

"The authority is to set up a new management board for the facility, reconstruct the stair case of the facility and other parts and carry out a reforestation project along the banks of the falls in collaboration with the forestry commission", he noted.

Mr.Appiagyei said that when these directives are fully observed at other tourist sites, it will minimize or eradicate such misfortunes and boost the economic value of these centers.

 The director of the Authority added that his outfit is in all diverse ways ready to expedite action to ensure that all the directives are carried out at the facility. He said the facility can be opened to the public in 3 months time fully furnished and safe for tourists.
