BREAKDOWN OF THE EXTENDED FAMILY SYSTEM IS THE CAUSE OF UPSURGING SOCIAL VICES - EVANGELIST PAUL OSEI AGYEMANG

A man of God has attributed the high surgence of moral decadence to the dissolution of the extended family system in the country.

Evangelist Paul Osei Agyemang,  leader and founder of of Remnant Evangelistic Center is saying the failure on the part of both the extended family and the society to acknowledge the fact that the upbringing of the child is a shared responsibility has given children of today the vacuum to flout basic moral sect with impunity leading to high rise in social vices.

Evangelist Osei Agyeman was speaking to KkbPortal on the need to insist on social values in the family as the world marked International Day of Families on Monday, May 15 this year, an annual coronation.
He opined that, the extent of economic hardship in the world has propelled parents to prioritize the attention given to their work schedules over their responsibility to train their children leaving them into the company of television and the internet.

"About 80 percent of the content on both television and the internet are corruptible to the social values of the child but that is what they are exposed to on daily basis due to work schedules of their parents. If other members of the family were to be around , the canker would be averted" , he noted .

He again called on religious leaders to find time for their children and families rather than giving almost all their time to church work and the chase after money,  else the will lose touch with their children and relative.

The astute man of God noted that prospective spouses to conduct thorough background checks about their partners before entering into that holy matrimony.

"Many marriages are breaking in a twinkle of an eye because spouses only considered outer appearance rather than inner qualities before their holy matrimony. The children from there broken homes hop onto the streets and indulge in all sort of social vices to fend for themselves due t OK lack of parental guide and care"  he added.
